Hi! I’m Matt Hassan, born 최경수 (Choi Kyeong Soo).
In the spring of 2025, I returned to Korea for the first time since being adopted. Previously l'd made art all my life, but never in a way that connected to my cultural identity.
In Korea I experienced amazing people, places, and I also brought back traditional art supplies. Since getting back, I've used them to capture memories from the trip and explore art making from a Korean adoptee's perspective.
I'm looking forward to the opportunity to connect with you through my art!
